Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Undastandable's website, tools, and products. By using the service or buying a product, you agree to them.

Last updated: September 24, 2026. Operated by Undastandable ("Undastandable", "we", "us"), California, United States.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Undastandable, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. What we provide

Undastandable offers plain-English explainers and a set of tools, including a YouTube transcriber, content generation, a file explainer, a voter tool, and fact-check instructions you run on your own AI. Some features are free; some require a one-time purchase or a subscription.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account and email access secure, and for activity under your account. Provide an accurate email. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. AI output and content disclaimer

Our tools use automated and AI systems. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are drafts and starting points, not professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise) and not a substitute for your own judgment and verification. You are responsible for reviewing and how you use any output. See our full Disclaimer.

6. Purchases, subscriptions, and billing

Prices are shown at checkout and charged through Stripe. One-time products are charged once. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel, and you authorize us to charge your payment method for each renewal. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future charges. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy.

7. Your content and our content

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to process it and deliver the service (including sending it to the providers in our Privacy Policy). The Undastandable site, tools, branding, and original content are ours and protected by intellectual-property laws.

8. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties (such as Stripe, OpenRouter, Supadata, and YouTube). We're not responsible for their availability, content, or actions, and their terms may also apply.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Undastandable will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Undastandable harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The "last updated" date reflects the current version.
