Cookies & Consents
The short version: we use a small amount of browser storage to make the site work, we don't run advertising trackers.
Last updated: 24 September 2026. This site is operated by Undastandable, based in California, United States.
1. What we use, in plain English
- Essential cookies and local storage — used for core site function and security. Our own cookies: one keeps you signed in; one counts your free uses of the tools (3 a month); one lets you into the site while it is in preview; and on the Voter Tool, one makes sure each person votes once in its polls. Local storage in your own browser saves tool drafts and settings. These are required for the site to work.
- Email signup and message forms — the site's newsletter, contact and request forms send what you type to our own server. It saves it in a private file and emails it to us. These forms set no cookies. The one exception is the free email course page: that form is provided by AWeber, an email service, and AWeber's form may set its own cookie.
- Advertising and analytics trackers — we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site today. If we ever add ad conversion measurement (for example, for search ads), this page will list it first and, where required, ask for consent.
2. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings — every major browser supports this. If you block essential storage, some tools (like draft saving and login) may stop working. You can also clear a specific site's storage without touching the rest of your browsing data.
3. Consent manager (reserved)
If we advertise to visitors in regions that require a consent banner (for example, the EU/UK), a certified consent-management banner and full cookie declaration will appear here.
